We are delighted to tell you that Cobham’s local bus services the Chatterbus C1 and C2 are back on the road from Monday 13th July 2020.

Due to the COVID19 crisis, it has not been possible to run the Chatterbus since March. But with the lifting of some of the government restrictions, we are able to restore the full service, six days a week Monday to Saturday. There will be the same great bus, the same timetable, the same friendly driver team and the same reliable, friendly service.

You will see a few changes as you get on the bus that we’ve made to look after our staff and passengers properly. Our sponsor Surrey County Council has put in place some rules to “Keep Surrey Safe”, so we are asking our passengers to wear masks while travelling with us, to use the hand sanitiser provided as you get on, and use contactless payment rather than cash whenever possible. You’ll also see that we will be paying regular attention to wiping down hard surfaces during the day, and the bus will be regularly and fully cleaned inside and out for our passengers’ protection.

It’s important to observe the “1 metre plus” rule, so we ask that you keep at least 1 metre between you and anyone else from outside your household as you find your seat. Finally, you’ll see that we have installed a perspex safety screen to keep the driver protected.

We are looking forward to welcoming back all our regular passengers. So whether you are a commuter from Cobham Station, a young mum with a double buggy, a pupil going to St. Andrews School, someone with mobility difficulties or a shopper at Brooklands retail stores or in Weybridge, please come back and enjoy the Chatterbus. Or, of course, if you are just out to meet friends or even go for a ride!
